Leaf Collection Schedule 2025

2025 LEAF COLLECTION

This year’s leaf collection is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

Leaf collection will take place on the weekday following your normal trash pickup.

There will be no collection of leaves on the following dates:

November 11, 2025 (Tuesday)

November 27, 2025 (Thursday)

November 28, 2025 (Friday)

PLEASE NOTE THAT EVERY EFFORT WILL BE MADE TO FOLLOW THE DESIGNATED COLLECTION SCHEDULE.  UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES MAY ARISE, WHICH COULD PREVENT LEAVES FROM BEING PICKED UP ON THE NORMAL SCHEDULED DAY.  PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT REGARDING ANY MISSED PICK-UPS OR TO REQUEST A SPECIAL PICK-UP.

 The following guidelines apply:

• Leaves must be raked to the back of the curb and should not be placed behind any shrubs or bushes.  
• Leaves should not be placed directly on the street for pickup. They should also be kept away from storm drains to avoid blockage.
• Leaves should not be raked into flower beds and/or landscaped areas.  Leaf collecting equipment has a potent suction that may vacuum landscape materials and/or plants. 
• Refrain from parking any vehicles near any gathered leaf piles.
• Bagged leaves are not accepted and will not be picked up.
• The leaves are recycled into compost.  Please do not include anything other than leaves in your pile for collection. 
• You are not required to participate in the Borough’s leaf collection program if you can dispose of your leaves following Pennsylvania’s DEP guidelines and regulations.

The leaf collection program is scheduled to end on Friday, December 5, 2025. This date could change if any winter storm events occur. Such storm events would require the leaf-collecting equipment to be switched over to winter maintenance equipment.  The leaf-collecting season may be terminated without any notice and will not be reinstated until the following year.
