REPORT A LOST DOG

If you find a dog or if you lost your dog you can always call 911 to report it. You can also contact the police department during regular business hours at 412-795-6800 ext 4302 to receive or submit more specific information about a lost or found dog. The police department keeps records of all dogs reported lost or found. The department also has a temporary kennel on site to house a found dog; however police officers will not transport dogs in the police car. The dog catcher for Plum Borough is Hoffman’s Kennels and they can be reached at 724-468-5505.

REPORT A DEAD DEER ON THE ROADWAY

If there is a dead deer on a roadway that you wish removed, you can contact the police department at 412-795-6800 ext 4302 during regular business hours, or by calling 911 after hours or on weekends. The information will be recorded and forwarded to a service that is contracted through the Borough for deer carcass removal. Only those deer which are found adjacent to the roadway will be removed. Deer carcass located solely on private property is not eligible for pick up.

LEAVE EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION FOR A HOUSE WHILE ON VACATION

The Plum Borough Police Department does not offer physical checks of residences; however, if you are going on vacation or leaving your home for an extended period of time, you may contact the police department during regular business hours at 412-795-6800 ext 4302 to provide emergency contact information in the event a problem should arise at your residence while you are away.

SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR FINGERPRINTING FOR EMPLOYMENT PURPOSES

The Plum Borough Police Department does offer fingerprinting services to Borough residents for employment, identification, and other non-criminal purposes. Please contact the department during regular business hours at 412-795-6800 ext 4302 to schedule an appointment.

SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR CHILD SAFETY SEAT INSPECTION AND INSTALLATION SERVICES

The Plum Borough Police Department currently has officers certified in the proper inspection and installation of child safety seats. Please contact the department during regular business hours at 412-795-6800 ext 4302 to schedule an appointment. You may also contact the following officers to schedule an appointment.

APPLY FOR A HANDICAPPED PARKING TAG

Disability parking placards and plates are only available through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Applications are available on PennDOT’s website at www.dmv.pa.gov. The Plum Borough Police Department also has paper copies of this form.

OBTAINING A COPY OF A POLICE REPORT

Copies of police reports are available from the police records department during regular business hours by contacting 412-795-6800 ext 4301. The fee for incident reports is $20, while accident reports are $15. A report request form is also available on the web site in the downloadable forms section. The form can be printed and completed at home and then dropped off at the Borough Building at your convenience.

APPLYING FOR A SOLICITATION PERMIT

Solicitation permit applications are available from the police records department during regular business hours by contacting 412-795-6800 ext 4301. All transient or seasonal vendors are required to be permitted prior to conducting business within the Borough. Fees and additional requirement vary. REGISTERING A RESIDENTIAL OR BUSINESS ALARM WITH THE POLICE DEPARTMENT

Plum Borough ordinance requires all residential and business alarms to be registered with the police department. Registration forms are available from the police departments’ records division during regular business hours or can be printed from the web site in the downloadable forms section. SCHEDULE A TOUR OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR CHILDRENS GROUPS

The police department does offer tours to small groups of children who are part of an organized club or organization. Tours can be scheduled by calling 412-795-6800 ext 4302 during regular business hours.
