Leaf Collection Schedule

2023 LEAF COLLECTION PROGRAM
Leaf collection will begin on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
Collection in your neighborhood will occur based on the following schedule.
(Please note that your leaf collection day is the day following your trash pickup.)

There will be no leaf collection on the following dates:
November 10, 2023 (Friday)
November 23, 2023 (Thursday)
November 24, 2023 (Friday)
A few things to keep in mind when raking your leaves:
Do not rake leaves into flower beds and/or landscaped areas. Leaf collecting equipment has a very powerful suction which may vacuum landscape materials and/or plants.
Rake leaves to the back of the curb to avoid placement on the street; as leaves are scattered by traffic, they could accumulate in storm drains and cause blockage.
Bagged leaves are not accepted and will be left behind.
The leaves are recycled into compost. Please do not include anything other than leaves in your pile for collection.
You are not required to participate in the Borough’s leaf collection program if you are able to dispose of your leaves following Pennsylvania’s DEP suggestions and obey their regulations.
Currently the leaf collection program is scheduled to end on Friday, December 1, 2023. This could change if winter storm events occur which would cause the leaf collecting equipment to be switched over to winter maintenance equipment. The leaf collecting season may be terminated without any notice and will not be reinstated until the following year.
