Boards and Commissions

Plum Borough Council appoints members to various Boards and Commissions.   Plum Borough's Boards and Commissions are:

Civil Service Commission - sets the rules and regulations for hiring of  Plum Borough police officers

Construction Board of Appeals - hears appeals for variances to the PA Uniform Construction Code

Library Board - governs the management of the Plum Library

Municipal Authority - governs the management of water and sewage

Planning Commission - guides the development of land resources

Vacancy Board - fills vacancies on Borough Council

Zoning Hearing Board - a quasi-judicial body that hears and renders decisions regarding specific types of land use actions.

When appointed terms of these Boards and Commissions expire and a vacancy occurs, Council will advertise and announce that they are accepting letters of interest for these positions.  Interviews will be conducted and appointments are then made.
